The “Make Room: Modern Design Meets Craft,” at the American Craft Council show puts craft in context for thousands of visitors through stylish room vignettes. Designers were asked to create room vignettes inspired by the theme “Color Story” featuring craft objects and a favorite color or group of colors that make a cohesive design statement. In addition to featuring the Craft Council artists, we chose to outfit the room with products entirely from local makers and sellers; in addition to designing our own mudcloth wall tapestry and creating a faux window frame.
